Not yet, so far as I can tell(college student). Though, most of my books were written a few years ago. I guess things might be getting spicier with the next edition. Hopefully that’s by the time I’ve graduated.

You're right, but there needs to be a way to bridge the gap of students who don't care. There has to be a way to convince kids that thoughtful consumption is as important a skill as things like arithmetic and science. All of which deepen one's understanding of their world.

There really, REALLY needs to be a media literacy class taught in schools. An inability to understand subtext, themes, and allegories is a serious problem. Like, these are the people who would read The Metamorphosis and think it's just about a guy who turns into a beetle.
