Labour has been promising to get rid of the house of lords for over 100 years. Why should Starmer be any different from any of the previous Labour PMs?

What the past year has shown is that the US can no longer be trusted. Ukraine, threats against fellow NATO members and most recently the "tech deal" which has been cancelled unless we accept chlorine chicken.
Trust has been lost, and a simple change of president, even a democrat, won't be enough.

So bank accounts are frozen for an investigation, but they can't freeze the accounts of Baroness Money who owes the country millions?

How does that work?

Wow! That's a lot of redacting to be done.....wonder if Trump has shares in Sharpie?

@kemibadenochmp.bsky.social I thought you said it was only people coming over on small boats that done this sort of thing?

So you sign your house over to your kids so they have somewhere to live as they can't afford to buy anywhere. But if you go into a care home within 10 years of that date, they take the house from under you.
Defraud the country of millions and there's nothing they can do?

Yeah right.......

My bank lets me set my own limit if I want to.
It's been set at £20 for years. I'll not be changing it.

The UK can ALWAYS fund itself. It controls its own currency.
For the best part of 10 years or more there has been quantitative easing essentially printing extra money.

It's already too late for independence.
Westminster will never allow another referendum.
The only reason there was one last time was independence was polling at 20% when it was agreed.

You know you have someone worried when they play the man, not the ball.

I trust they will be handcuffed as dragged away, same as other protestors.
November 26, 2025 at 10:21 AM
Hmmm blocking roads and probably the emergency services. I wonder if they'll be dragged away in handcuffs the same as other protestors who block roads?

Quick scan of the article says "introduce zonal pricing" Milliband has already rejected this as it would give Scotland some of the lowest (if not the lowest) prices in Europe. But wouldn't help London so it was rejected

What has led to Trump's U-turn? A black marker

A lot of people don't like Rachel Reeves, but at least she has an economic qualification(masters I think) Gideon has a history degree.

Ladies and Gentlemen. This is the power of a union.

They had the chance to cut bills through regional pricing for the majority of the country. But once again, it's been shown that the only ones that matter are London and the home counties.
Anywhere north of the Watford gap gets written off.

If he cuts taxes, he's going to have to tell us which of the budgets will be cut. Councils? NHS? Fire Service? Police?
Even the reform councils down south say there's nothing more to be cut and are shouting for more money - what does that tell you?

But you can't lock anyone up for posts on social media.
October 10, 2025 at 2:03 PM
And this is why there will never be another one.
September 30, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Well, apparently there was an investigation.
The escalator stopped cause his photographer that was further up travelling backwards accidentally hit the emergency stop.
And the teleprompter was organised and operated by white house staff.

One of my favourite photographs of all time.

The fact he is carrying a red light saber is absolutely on the money though 😂

But...but.....we were told in 2014 that there was only 5 years left.

There's a difference between a war on home soil (WW2 for Europe and the current war in Ukraine) and a war on "foreign soil" like Vietnam or Afghanistan.
