Thunderstorms make me happy.

Figured timelines could use a sunset photo.

Took this walk while on the evening shift the other night. The NIFC campus is a good restorative break use.

Gotta let the gym folk know I’m just a humble nerd trying to get some gains too.

A Boise sunset photo for your timeline tonight.

An end of this saga for me (for now?), however there are still NOAA employees without their jobs back.

I am extremely grateful to have mine back.

It’s been 1 week since I was fired.

The only official notice I have received still is the email. Feels like news changes by the hour. Today there will be more info to digest.

I want to help clarify what is known. Reply below, will respond. We are stronger together.

I’ve searched for this before, but couldn’t find what I was looking for. So I made my own!

I think lists could be super helpful for people interested in certain aspects of Atmospheric Sciences to break into those fields, getting to know people / what they’re working on.

Thoughts? Very much WIP.

Watching the Boise foothills light up with golden hour has become a recent passion of mine.

All this idiocy happening recently… just gotta keep going, one foot in front of the other. Not allowed to give in or give up.

I’ll have my down days, but gotta keep remembering the good ones.

Speaking of, you may or may not recognize this classic from June 2023…

I’m curious how other offices are trying to improve IDSS with the incoming? Ops Model 2.0.

I think NWS 2.0 (the slack) is a great avenue. Some combination of updates with question/answers in the WFO main chat with reactions to show if it’s being seen, + partners using canvas page for regular use.

Will this reach the correct people of wx bluesky?

🚨 corny post inc 🚨

If you told high school me that I would get to attend Texas A&M for a B.S. in Meteorology, then go to grad school for a M.S. in researching tornadogenesis, and be able to continue achieving that degree while starting at NWS Boise, I’d be like
Wow that was way too long to read 1/2
February 13, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Ever wanted to watch tornadogenesis in model space?

I’m excited I’ve finally been able to work on research. I’ve enjoyed my times as a GTA, but I can tell I also have a passion for this too.

HOPEFULLY this video doesn’t compress super bad
