Fr, they always try to equate something extreme that someone says or does on the internet with the party or party representatives. Applying the theories of zakaria and maher from their interview this week they would have you believe that Harris wasn’t normal enough but Trump was. It’s idiotic.

He is a direct reflection of everyone single person that voted for him. Many would like to pretend that they are above this. They aren’t.

Yikes, really sorry you have to deal with that. Congrats on your achievement!

I’m much the same. I plan on returning to downtown the first chance I get, but I understand where you are coming from.

I was thinking this same thing! I loved living in DTSP, but that was one of the glaring needs that I thought needed to be addressed. It was at the top of my plans if I ever won the lottery lol.

Is this the same Larry Summers that helped Greenspan convince Clinton to force out Brooksley Born as chair of the CFTC and to not regulate the derivative market which led to the tanking of the economy in 08? That Larry Summers? I was thrown by the solid economist description.

If I remember correctly, his economic advice to not regulate credit default swaps was what ultimately led to the mortgage crisis. I’m always shocked when he is brought on as an analyst.

I’m a Gen X transplant. I didn’t go to Minneapolis the entire first year I lived in St Paul which I found very curious. I expected to be there all the time when I moved to the cities. I love Minneapolis but exotic Saint Paul kept me content enough. I’m not much for long road trips in my old age.

I use it very liberally here. My benefits of the doubt have all been used up.

He’s complained about it multiple times, it’s delicious and I enjoy it more every time.

My family in St Pete had theirs go up quite a bit as well which is crazy given the influx of people and development over the last 5-6 years. They’ve run the working class out of downtown, overbuilt it with luxury units and somehow still need more taxes.

If the problem is capitalism, the logical solution is to take away the reward. Spending/work strikes is one mechanism. It’s not meant to be an individual solution and that was the point. If you can’t get people to stop using Amazon, I don’t see you getting them to sign on to revolutionary action 🤷

I mean corporate capitalists generally need the consent of the consumer. It could be as simple as targeted spending if people truly cared or had the will.
