If you have more data or information, please share with me. I'd like to learn more about these.

If Canada wants to decouple from the USA, we need to start with standards, like EV charging connectors, and signing the Vienna Convention on Road Signs. Let's make our road signs global, not American.

We need to stop this.

Canada needs to adopt CCS2, just like Mexico, Europe, Asia, and everyone else.

Otherwise, Canada will, again, be stuck with an American-only standard that has less features, less compatibility, and more lock-in to American stuff.

I mean... so much for "World Series"...

4. What this means is the EV options for Canada will be limited to USA. This is BAD NEWS. I dont want my next EV be American. I dont even buy Spam anymore. USA is not the leader of the world anymore. Canada CANNOT rely on another "North American" Charging Standard that literally only includes USA

An EV with a huge battery should be able to also power stuff other than your car.

3. NACS does not have Vehicle to Load or Vehicle to Grid capabilities. What this means is you cannot use your car to charge another car, or plug in your appliances during a power outage, or use it to power your house in case the grid is down. CCS2 has this.

2. Everyone else is standardising on CCS2 Type 2 combo -- Mexico, Europe, Asia (except China, they are on GB/T), and everyone else. Only USA is remaining (and of course, Canada has not set any standards but auto manufacturers have said they will use NACS).

1. Tesla. Of course. Even though they have waived all their patent royalties on NACS, this will still make them the top provider for Charging Stations (they are in the USA, but I believe Canada is still widely on J1772, anecdotal evidence based on my exp here in Southwestern Ontario)

Ive also met anti-vaxxers at the gym. They were saying we are just guinea pigs. Then when the COVID and flu shots became available, I made sure to book my shots right before class & made sure my deltoid was showing (where the bandage was). Everyone else started talking about getting it.

Success.

This week, I have realised that not everything needs to be efficient.

But, I have also realised that time is running out. Always. I cannot always have 100% of the data I need to make a decision. Sometimes I just have to make one.

C'est la vie, I guess.

But there are also regrets about not doing something.

What if doing this makes me better?
What if I change my trajectory and be in a better place?

Maybe I need to pull myself harder so that the arrow flies further away.

Like, if I didn't leave the ER to get food, would my grandma still be alive? If I didn't move to Ontario, would I have met the friends I have now? If I didn't... where would I be?
