I actually really enjoy projects that take a long time to finish. When they finally do, it’s all the more rewarding.

I know, right? It’s like a window into the soul of someone else who enjoys the same things I do. It’s got something that more polished works can sometimes lack.

I can usually edit it until I’m neutral about it. But I envy your confidence upon completion! Hopefully that will come with more experience.

I have the opposite problem. While I’m writing, I think it’s amazing, but as soon as I finish, my first thought is “actually, this might suck.” At least it’s good motivation to edit.
