Just reached the end of Chapter II/start of III on Clair Obscur and I just have to post how blown away I am at the story. Such great imagination and world building that even with the twist I was still with it the whole way. Looking forward to finishing it up, just so I can unwrap it all.

Thank you! It does seem like ages ago I sent in a sample review of Dragon Ball Z Kai Season 1... (because of course I did! 😜)
🌟Another tenth anniversary with AUKN! 🌟

Thank you - especially for bringing all your knowledge of so many classic shonen series to your writing - very much appreciated! And yes, what a good title to celebrate with - as well as looking forward to the next decade!🎉

My latest review for @animeuknews.net and thanks to a Facebook memory from a few days ago reminding me, my first post after my 10th anniversary with the site! Blimey. At least it was a good one to kick off the next decade of reviewing!
Dragon Quest: The Mark of Erdrick Volume 1 Review

Dragon Quest: The Mark of Erdrick is one of many Dragon Quest spin-offs although, unlike its more well-known and anime-adapted cousin manga “The Adventure of Dai”, this story sticks closer to the games - but is it for better or worse?

Even though it's the wrong way round it's always fun reading the Manga of an anime you enjoyed...

Today I turned 41, but my day has been focused on my Dad’s failing health, sadly. I did squeeze in finally watching Thunderbolts, which was a good night in (even if I could’ve done without the thematic links to depression and being close with your family…)

Always fun getting a "screener" for a big Shonen Jump film!

A brief 800+ page read for @animeuknews.net ! That being said so many pages were wordless artwork it didn't actually take that long to read, and it was good too!

Nice to finally have Resi 9 announced, and it's tying a bit more into the continuity of the past this time, with an Ashcroft (there's a deep cut!) and revisiting Raccoon City. Looking forward to it, as always.

So instead of Marvel vs. Capcom 4 we got Marvel vs. Marvel 4... on 4 by ArcSys? I mean, I'll definitely take it, especially after seeing all the ArcSys/anime-ified versions of the characters so far!

Always happy when I get to review for @animeuknews.net and even happier when its some late 80s/early 90s anime cheese!

Having a random week off accidentally match the release of #CapcomFightingCollection2 has been rather handy! I've had a great time playing CvSNK2 and Power Stone 2 again without hooking up old consoles. I miss the item creator from Power Stone 2 though...

Oh okay then, I'll buy a Switch 2... like I have every other Nintendo console ever (well okay my parents brought the NES and SNES.. for my brother as I had the Sega consoles, but still!)

Sadly I've had to buy a new washing machine after my old one finally gave up, so I can't really justify buying Dynasty Warriors Origins like I was planning to (always loved that series!) but it's given me a chance to dip into the backlog so I've started Xenoblade Chronicles DE! Liking it so far.

Randomly visited my local CEX shop and they weirdly had two games on my "sold as a teen but now want them back" game list in stock. James Pond II for the Mega Drive and "Sol-Feace" for the Mega CD, which if it weren't for the cover I'd have forgotten about it completely...

I mean I was always going to buy a Switch 2 anyway, I've brought every other Nintendo console since the N64 (my brother had a NES and a SNES, I had a Master System and Mega Drive...) but it was still nice to finally see it! Plus a new Mario Kart for the first time since the Wii U, technically...

2024 was a rough year in some ways, my Dad's mental health continues to decline and I missed out on a Manager promotion at work by a single point apparently, but I've still really enjoyed myself. Especially finally getting back into JRPGs after 15-20 years... Now I don't have time to play them! 😩
