Also I’m not a historian but could there be a case that the generation following any major realignment are the ones most benefitting(or being punished) than the current one. True right now for the climate crisis, and all the infrastructure being dismantled.

I see your point. I generally mean boomers. I think perhaps because the things I cited were filtered through their parents they can’t conceive of them as anything other than bootstrap capitalism. That’s giving them the benefit though.
