That’s fair. I think it was intentional on production’s part so as not to cause any upset. Ireland as the geographical location is apt in this case. In Finn’s post show promo, he says refers to Ireland as ‘our Island’ which is important in that it includes all members of the community.

So saying ‘it is an entirely different country’ does not account for the complexity of the situation and for people’s personal feelings (which is why I’m even writing). There is an open border and kinship, even if it’s two hours up the road.

I’m a long time listener. Please be more delicate when discussing Ireland and NI. Belfast is on the *Island of Ireland*. You’ll note that the broadcast didn’t say it was part of the UK. It’s a very divisive topic. There are residents in NI who primarily feel Irish.
