The range in the previews is WILD. One outlet calls em a “potentially fatal flaw” and then another outlet is just like “oh yeah some goober tagged along for a bit. So anyway…”

If i understand correctly, MacKenzie is the only one they encountered during the preview period. BUT, there are other troopers shown in that Overview trailer and they do have different personalities than ol’ Mac does.

God of War, Uncharted, Halo, Elder Scrolls… all beloved franchises that also have excessively chatty characters at times. It’s gonna be okay y’all 😂

Yeah it’s a weird line to walk i think. Because on one hand some people would be upset that the series got “stagnant” and didn’t offer any new ideas. But adding new ideas can also rub fans the wrong way who didn’t want changes. Makes me wonder if Prime 3 would still get a 90 on MC in 2025

Totally fair! Personally I think the non-Adam GF troops were the least of Other M’s worries 😂but again, mileage varies!

I encourage you to look at other previews. GameInformer, for example, barely mentions the NPC(s) at all while IGN dedicates multiple paragraphs and quotes nearly every line of dialogue they hated. Safe to say mileage may vary 😂

Not sure it’ll be in my top 10 this year but it’s a fun play with a lot of heart 🥹

I wish more reviews DID call this out. Nearly every recognizable voice actor has been speaking out about how much of a problem AI is for their jobs but most other reviews have just glossed over it or ignored it entirely

I expect nothing less from these two sources
