Once it's certified and the challenger concedes, makes sense that the results are locked. Otherwise we would spend entire terms debating who rightly holds office. If it could be proved the office holder was complicit, that's another story but it's a high bar to clear. Just a guess - not an expert.

Investigations won't overturn the results but should show where things went wrong to secure future elections. Vigilance to improve integrity.

If fraud is found, the prosecutions could be a real problem for this admin.

If their argument was that the anonymization process would be too burdensome, how were there 6 judges who thought they should have access?

I'm wondering if it isn't worse than that. The accusations are another tool to intentionally undermine systems of accountability.

What they're demonstrating with this is that people who play by the rules lose. Contempt for the rule of law becomes a virtue - something to flaunt and revel in.

It's a tough call either way. If he did leak it to another journalist, I think they'd easily be able to track it back to him. Then, the story would be about him as a leaker. Given the current media environment, I'm half surprised it isn't already tbh.

Based on everything I've seen, I trust his judgment and hope he stays engaged. But, whatever he does, it'll be because of what he expects of himself as a citizen, as a vet, and as a father.
