One of the weirdest feelings for me is when something gets really popular for a week or so and you catch an artist scrambling to make something out out it while it's still relevant. The result is almost always an awkward admission that they have 0 interest in the source material

Mint is really cool for a first OS, tho if you're gonna be storing and checking images frequently, I highly recommend a Distro with KDE Plasma as the default environment. OH! And for compatibility, depending on your RAM a VM with windows might be more helpful than dual booting longterm! good luck!
