I’m currently reading Neil Postman’s “Amusing Ourselves to Death”. At 3am today (yeah, I know), I was struck by this passage. Postman’s book predates the world wide web, but I think it sums up nicely where we are. Like you I’m making the effort the scroll past what I cannot directly influence.
