Imo this is more about the real fact that the Indiana GOP already maximum gerrymandered the state and any further map messing risks losing them votes than about a principled stand against ableism

Dem Melissa Hortman and her husband, and John Hoffman and his wife were all shot by a MAGA supporter. Hortman and partner died, Hoffman and partner lived. Was there a crackdown on all white, middle-aged MAGA male people? Was there anything at all done? It was down the memory hole in three days.

The shooting should have never happened…
A federal judge ordered the National Guard to be removed six days prior to the shooting …… had the administration followed court orders. This would have never happened.
