Please stay hydrated. As someone who lives in the south we learn cold water helps immensely with the heat.
If you have plenty of ice on hand and a fan of some sort, fill a large bowl to the top and sit that bowl in front of the fans breeze. You get a little make-shift AC with super cold air.

Maybe one day we will have that and the ability to remove one side of stair railing too.
