play Pong, operate simple machines, and solve equations. They can compute better than AI and have shown dream-like wave-rhythms.

The coffee industry was built on slavery and continues to utilize forms thereof. Unfortunately, many times it goes unseen or unnoticed. Without a monumental shift within the industry this practice will continue. The first step in changing it is educating yourself.

When coffee first came to Europe, people were expected to "whitened" coffee w/ milk, symbolically distancing it from its African origins. It was more than a preference, it was appropriation.

Haiti's pre-revolution economy thrived on coffee exports as they were the largest coffee exporter in the world. US & Britain, fearing their own slave uprisings, boycotted Haiti. This combined with plantation destruction, wiped out Haiti's coffee industry.

Haiti commemorates its independence from France on Jan 1. The revolt, where the enslaved outnumbered the ruling class 10:1, led to the hanging of colonialists & the destruction of their coffee plantations.
