To be clear, I think what Trump's doing is cruel, vindictive, and inhumane, plus not productive in the slightest. I wasn't trying to advocate for any of that. Sorry if I was unclear.

Thx for the benefit of doubt. You're right, I was unclear. I took Shaun's "nobody is illegal"=no oversight, which I think unsustainable. Perhaps I overinterpreted. I'm also very much against the vindictive, cruel Trump approach!

I love your work but I respectfully disagree. Don't think unregulated immigration is sustainable

I really like PoE continuing the RPG spirit of Baldurs gate 1&2, and that the games are still maintained. I'll skip this update since I'm busy with BG3, but fingers crossed Obsidian can continue what they're doing!

Fully agree. But also sad that, even if the founder has such a strong belief in "forever" products, the company needs to split its brands into high- and low-level (Polo/Purple Label/etc) to remain profitable. S. also www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

Nice, fully agree. I've a short beard but every few months I go clean shaven because I enjoy the ritual. Plus, Dr Harris almond shaving soap smells amazing

As I understand it there wouldn't have been radiation even if the uranium was on site. So we simply don't know yet whether how effective the strike was

I haven't tried it, but I imagine ginger beer could be interesting. Also mixing with cucumber +lemon, or mint +lemon

Isn't that a good thing? Price efficient = computing efficient, less power consumption. Seems like unironically free markets working as intended

Weird article. Yes, the movie could be more explicit on sex workers politics, but that's not what's it trying to be about! The themes are class & anora's emotional arc, and her being a sex worker is central to both. I personally love Sean Baker's movies, but even if you'd don't, that's a weird take

Except he didn't do those things? You can be critical of the colonialism of the territories he explored following his death, but Cook himself wasn't a monster. One reason he's such a big legacy is bc he had a progressive approach to both navigation science and approaching natives

Great thread. I enjoy learning about tailoring craftsmanship, and I feel I pay more attention now to aesthetics. Clothing preferences are subjective, but w your posts I started reflecting more on what I like and why, which is fun
