Well done catching a photo of it, they're fast wee things. And thank you sincerely for a stress-free post in the middle of my doom ridden feed.

Aw, no, I was looking forward to this. Maybe it will help that it's been a while since I read the book and so won't be comparing it in so much detail as I can only recall the overall plot.

I'll fill it in, but am slightly cynical that it's just another 'look, we're doing something' ploy. They know all this already. How is taking yet more evidence going to help at this point?

Deeply dangerous and irrational man. Shame on anybody that allowed him to get into this position of power. His actions will cause harm for not only this generation of children but for years to come.

Exactly this. Why wait until summer holidays before advertising a teaching or support post and even then only offer a temporary contract? Short term, penny pinching thinking is preventing people accessing jobs and moving to rural areas.

Pleased to tell you that the first ever PRIDE parade has been planned to take place in Thurso (the most northerly mainland town in Scotland). Sad that mainstream media gets to influence the mindset of the country and make it seem less popular. Glad for local organisers that just get on with it.

Fantastic idea, we get stuck on the same safe foods and being able to find variety will be good.

I came for the comments, wasn't disappointed, my faith is restored knowing these knobs aren't going unchallenged.

The potential for cancer clusters has been thoroughly researched over many years and disproved. It's quite reckless just to throw this accusation around, it's a bit like promotong anti-vax and other conspiracy theories.
Sellafield, radiation and childhood cancer
A new report confirms that radiation from a nuclear plant wasn't to blame for a spike in childhood leukaemia in north-west England - so what was?

He was jailed for criminal damage though, not for speech or protesting.

Oh, yeah, it's like the 'library or party' question. I need context please.

In Highland almost every service, including medical, are centralised in Inverness. That often requires staying overnight for non-leisure purposes as public transport is scant and it is almost impossible to get down and back in a day. Locals should definitely be exempt from this extra cost burden.

Respectfully, we are unlikely to ever be on the same page on this topic or change each other's minds, so I bow to your incredible capacity for rooting out factoids to support your argument and am not going to enter into any further back and forth on this. I hoped to have left that shit behind on X.
