The Grants Pass Cavemen. The founder's grandson was and remains one of my best friends. It was wild being in the junior high marching band in the annual BoatNik Parade on Memorial Day with these guys walking up and down the parade route in skins, brandishing clubs.

I hate that forced friendliness. First noticed it at a grocer years ago, when every employee who passed you in an aisle greeted you cheerily. RiteAid checkers loudly welcoming you from afar as you entered the doors, yuck.
