I made a super wild fabric collage that works nicely in blacklight, so grab a tab and gaze upon St. Falkor, in all his glory. This is also about my friends' store, where Falkor's head lives (well, in a nearby shed). All of the words in this post are true.

This has been a dream of mine for years, but I had to wait for a sign to show up at the thrift store in order to make it a reality. #TheYawningPortal is a big deal in a lot of folks’ TTRPG experiences, and certainly mine. And now there’s a #mimic mug!

This...is a weird sign that was in the pictures and wall art nook at the Habitat thrift store, and I bought it because it says "PENGLE". The sign itself has four corner holes, similar to a vehicle license plate.
Why did I buy this? I don't know. It was $2.80. Two bucks eighty for a mysterious thing!

The humidity is shockingly low for spring on the East Coast, approx. 29%, so I was battling rapid paint dry times. Should maybe make this a rainy day activity!

Es kann auch ein gekaufter Keilrahmen, wie man ihn für Ölbilder verwendet, sein. Man beginnt mit dem Spannen rechts und links sowie oben und unten jeweils in der Mitte und arbeitet zu den Ecken hin. Zum Befestigen nimmt man Reißzwecken. Auf mehrere Lagen Papier, die größer als der Rahmen sein müssen, legt man nun den Rahmen mit der Gazebespannung nach unten. Dann malt man auf die Gaze mit Öl- farbe einen etwa 2-3 cm breiten Rand an den Leisten entlang. Dieser Rand soll verhindern, daß die Druckfarbe später unter den Rahmen quillt und den Druck verschmiert. Zugleich aber dient der Rand an der oberen Querleiste als Träger für die Farbpaste. Das Motiv, das auf den verbleibenden freien Raum der Gaze aufgeteilt wird, zeichnet man zuerst auf ein entsprechend großes Stück Papier. Es sollte nicht zu kompliziert sein, damit das Druckmuster klar erkennbare Konturen erhält. Die fertige Motivskizze wird nun unter die Gaze gelegt und auf der Gaze mit reichlich Ölfarbe nachgemalt. Es ist wichtig, daß der Farbauftrag so satt ist, daß keine Druckfarbe durch die übermalten Flächen hindurchdringen kann, denn an diesen reservierten Stellen soll der Stoff nicht bedruckt werden. Lieber nach dem Trocknen der Ölfarbe mit einem feuchten Lappen und einem untergelegten Papierbogen die Probe machen und undichte Stellen noch einmal überstreichen. Der Stoff Im Siebdruckverfahren kann man fast alle Gewebe bedrucken, die eine glatte Oberfläche haben. Am besten eignen sich mittelschwere einfarbige Baum- wollstoffe, sogenannte Dekorationsstofle, aber auch billigere Ware, z. B. Nessel, läßt sich gut bedrucken. Voraussetzung ist, daß der Stoff appreturfre ist. Die Appretur - eine Art Stärke - sitzt nämlich zum Teil auf der Gewebe- Oberfläche und verhindert, daß die Druckfarbe sich gleichmäßig mit dem

Yes, not bad. Burned in, but not overexposed. I just have a cheap Speedball kit, which came with a UV lamp to expose the photo emulsion…never dealt with it before, it’s ok. Screen is now air-drying and printing comes next! #diy #silkscreen

First time at silkscreen setup in …..fuuuuuuck….. lots of years. Did it work? Sorta? Was the emulsion fully dry before I burned it in, no don’t be silly. I may be much older now but no less impatient.
So it failed, I washed it out and have another one ready to try again tomorrow.

A pair of scowling creatures that are work in progress. On the left, the larger one is a beholder with just its central eye, and the rest is unfinished. Instead of teeth, there are holes for where the teeth will go. On the right, a Krampus is developing from an old Santa candle box thing. He still wears the Santa hat, but his eyes are now Krampus eyes, his nose is thin and devilish, and he has multiple sharp teeth. His long snaky tongue flops from his mouth.

Had a great time vending down in Bensalem, PA at #darksideNJ! #thebrokengoblet is a fun venue, the folks attending were cool & awesome, and we even made money. I am an honest fan of everything that #tprfm does, because they make such thoughtfully crafted experiences for the audiences and vendors.
