I like video games… keep your fan boy crap on twitter please
But like the video game industry, in architecture there are really slow times, maybe you are waiting for feedback or another division to finish something so you can continue, and maybe I only had 2hrs of work this week… I still got paid for 40.. but it’s funny how people never talk about those times

Why would crunch be an issue in countries with better labour laws? Crunch is typically a US, UK, and Canada thing. Not many industries provide paid time off for major holidays, I used to work sometimes 80hr weeks getting paid for 40, but I got 2 weeks paid time off at Christmas

Hearsay is not allowed in court,!you cannot say “I think” or “probably” or “I guess”. You have to state facts and provide evidence to prove those facts.
January 13, 2026 at 9:27 PM
Take a deep breath and show me the evidence that the employees provided to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the reason they were fired was for forming a union. The only ignorant person here is you, your opinion is completely biased.. mine completely neutral.
January 13, 2026 at 9:23 PM
But the fact that the only thing that needed to be proven was that the reason they were fired was for joining a union, wasn’t proven even in the slightest is the only thing note worthy.
January 13, 2026 at 9:11 PM
But also discussing anything about work with non employees might be against policy or maybe it was specifically written in that person’s contract. Do we know if that employee was regularly late, underperforming, speeding too much time doing personal things during work hours.
January 13, 2026 at 9:11 PM
If they don’t need it, why use it? The problem is, the employees entire case is hearsay. Rockstar doesn’t need to prove that they were just in the firings, pif the employees can’t prove with evidence that they were fired for union forming.
January 13, 2026 at 8:58 PM
Weird, but it still doesn’t prove that he was fired for joining the union. For someone who has spent a lot of time in the court room, I know that Rockstar will hold off showing any big evidence until absolutely necessary, because then everyone will know a bunch of NDA’d info.
January 13, 2026 at 8:58 PM
Unfortunately I saw zero evidence other than hearsay that they were fired for joining a union. I agree 1000% with the judges decision whether I like it or not. Rockstar is not dumb,!they would not illegally fire people before they begin marketing the biggest launch in history
January 13, 2026 at 8:43 PM
But we don’t know if this is why he was fired, and unfortunately that wasn’t what the point of the trial was. The employees needed to provide factual evidence that they were fired for joining the union. Presenting a message for what you think is the reason you got fired proves nothing
January 13, 2026 at 8:35 PM
leaked, & we don’t know if he was showing up late to work, writing tons of personal messages during work hours. We don’t know what Rockstar policies are and what he agreed to in his employee contract. But I highly doubt Rockstar would fire people for nothing right before the biggest game ever drops
January 13, 2026 at 8:30 PM
I’ve viewed all the evidence that was presented already. And I don’t see how that proves that Rockstar fired him for joining a union. That was the only thing this trial is about. We don’t know what else he said over the last 2 years, we don’t know if he liked a post or reacted to something someone
January 13, 2026 at 8:30 PM
To be clear, I’m not against these employees, I am about discovering the truth, and I trust the court system as an unbiased moderator and I may not like every decision but I respect and accept it.

-Unlimited and free snacks and beverages while you work
-most studios have a catered dinner when OT is required.
-a way above average amount of slack time to chat with coworkers or play games in a lounge to destress.
-full benefits, including massage therapy, dental and medical paid by company
January 13, 2026 at 6:52 AM
It is a choice, you choose the career. No one is hiding the fact that game development has a lot of overtime. And you chose the studio to apply at. But it’s crazy how no one ever talks about the dozens of perks that come with most of these big “crunch prone” studios.
January 13, 2026 at 6:52 AM
It was your choice to work at a big studio where OT is more likely. So how is it the companies fault if the studio falls failing behind and OT is required. At the end of the day games need to hit deadlines and stay in budget. Or everyone could lose their jobs Not everything is “evil corporation”
January 13, 2026 at 6:34 AM
No one is holding a gun to your head and saying do overtime or else.. you can quit at any time. Probably 99% of AAA studios issue mandatory OT at some point during development, the studios don’t try to hide it, it’s likely written in your employment contract “OT may be required.”
January 13, 2026 at 6:34 AM
There is a reason why every word of a court hearing is recorded, judges finances closely monitored… bribes like that only happen in the movies. The fact that people are saying “rockstar must have bribed them” is really sad it’s just as stupid as developers paying for reviews lol
January 13, 2026 at 6:01 AM
What do you think is more likely 31 people claiming hearsay with ZERO proof or Rockstar risking criminal charges and likely billions in fines, and likely closure and chancing bribery of a career judge that would be immediately arrested when they deposit a large sum of money.
January 13, 2026 at 6:01 AM
they did what Rockstar said they did? They obviously have the entire transcript ready for evidence. Or they would have settled way before this thing became public. Why is it ok for 31 people to leak info about a game 1000’s have been working on for a decade?
January 13, 2026 at 6:01 AM
?? I get that people love to say screw the big corporation, power to the little people. But just because Rockstar is massive doesn’t mean people who were basically just proven guilty of doing what Rockstar said they did (which is absolutely grounds for termination). How is it hard to believe that
January 13, 2026 at 6:01 AM
Spoiled cause they thought it would hurt the big corporation… Would it really make them happy causing the company to go under and every single employee lose their job? lol. Sure you ended the billionaire’s business..but guess what, they are still a billionaire and your friends are now unemployed
January 13, 2026 at 5:27 AM
I mean I don’t give a damn how much crunch a company makes someone do, it’s their choice to continue working there. But people being upset with the company and purposely leaking something, like a major spoiler, all that is is a major FU to your fellow devs who just had the last XX number of years
January 13, 2026 at 5:27 AM
It doesn’t matter if Rockstar didn’t really care about what was discussed and only went after them to stop the union, because the fact is, they broke an NDA and that is grounds for dismissal. Like it or not, the former employees are the only ones to blame, they did this to themselves
January 13, 2026 at 5:12 AM
have no issue placing criminal charges against them. I get that you are a dev but why is it so hard to believe that Rockstar provided transcripts of what every former employee said. And every single one of them discussed something about the game that was under NDA.
