I do the same thing and run into this too.

A few years ago someone gave me one of these. I'm not much of a "cleaning person", but during meetings if I need to occupy my hands I'll use it to clean my keyboard.

If you're using a big keyboard with switches, sometimes using the left side of the spacebar will be more reliable if the switch is giving up.

If you haven't already you might also try some compressed air under it. Depending on what kind it is, it could help and shouldn't hurt it.

Dark horse just made some beautiful stuff in that era. I can't vouch for the stories (i read them when i was like 8, i'll always see them through that lens), but the art was wonderful. It was weird, not "mass market", before everything fit the prequel aesthetic.

I need to find this for you. I have an old anthology of Dark Empire from the 90s with some really beautiful illustrations that have this vibe.
