Same. I threw away the pre-installed Windows. Minisforum?

You did put loads of milk in your tea, right?

It sounds like the setup to a bad joke. But unfortunately, this kind of dangerous ignorance is actually killing.

Oops, missed your message and ended up echoing it! Raycast really is making macOS so much better.

Not a direct answer to your question, but you might want to try Raycast. With dedicated global hotkeys for launching/switching apps (and eg. window management or scripts), you can pretty much skip the dock entirely and enjoy navigating mouse-free.

I wish that were the case, but right now, the effort from the .net teams seems almost nonexistent.

Ha ha, no matter the language. 😬

And quite successful I should add.

We started a company 4 years ago with .NET (with React SPA FE). I believe .NET is still quite popular in the Netherlands.

Not sure if I’ll ever use this, but pretty awesome! 👏

Wow! I’m just wondering how to fit this in without getting too fatigued. I don’t want it to interfere with my main training. A few weeks ago, I tried adding more walking, but I noticed my motivation to get on the bike dropped a bit. Staying motivated in the winter is already a challenge for me.

It makes perfect sense to accommodate the queue/topic for the consumer.
February 4, 2025 at 9:34 AM
Nice topic! By the way, AsNoTracking helps reduce memory usage in EF Core by disabling entity tracking. SQLite might not be fully representative since it lacks a network layer and dedicated server, but I assume that’s a conscious choice, as you’re not trying to benchmark network performance.

Mise is pretty cool too and does all of that for many more tools.

The LLM didn’t mention it, but global trust in a ‘former’ ally is going down the drain. A textbook case of divide and conquer—must be a dream come true for Putin and the likes.

It still blows my mind how few people get the benefits. @davidfowl.com

Heerlijk naïef. Deze kun je lokaal gebruiken zonder internet. Je mag nog een poging wagen.

Je kan het!

If you’re up for equally good (or better!), check out The Morning Show, Slow Horses, and... Severance! Also, found Shrinking > Ted Lasso for me.

It starts with putting way! too much logic in a template.

Did something similar and was inspired to improve it after seeing how RazorSlices implemented it! 😅 I prefer it implemented in Razor because it naturally guides .NET developers toward success.
January 19, 2025 at 11:36 AM
By the way, RazorSlices are significantly faster. 🫡 I’m hesitant to share exact numbers since there might be middleware in the Blazor project I didn’t account for, but the performance improvement is close to 100%. 🚀

Generic parameters on RazorComponentResult would be high on my wish list. It feels off to be using one of the most productive languages and a truly fast runtime, only to discover at runtime that template parameters don't match the call.

My first thought was DotNet Nuke. 😂 Tried it just now and hit a small snag with the latest version. I get the benefits, but I still prefer make—lightweight, reliable, and universally supported. Learning Bash feels like learning SQL: a solid investment in timeless, non-proprietary skills.
