By the 1950s/60s there were only 417 nesting pairs left of bald eagles. The cause? A pesticide, DDT. It was banned in ‘72 and the bald eagle entered the Endangered Species List. And the bald eagle came back strong and was removed from the list in ‘07. Now there are over 71,400 nesting pairs today.🇺🇸🦅

July is National Bison Month! Did you know that bison is the national mammal? There are ~6k bison in Yellowstone today. Many Native American tribes consider bison to be sacred and pre & post hunt ceremonies honor the bison & revitalization gives back food and spiritual sovereignty to plains tribes.
