Meant to post this. But I saw the new Paul Thomas Anderson flick. Definitely worth seeing if you haven’t.

Stood on the podium at the Panathenaic Stadium, birthplace of the modern Olympics, pretending I’d just won gold. For a moment I heard the crowd cheer—then realized it was tourists waiting for me to move. Still undefeated in “posing dramatically while out of breath.”

Winding up the cliffs to Oia, I watched Santorini unfold — whitewashed walls, blue domes, and the Aegean shining below. Crete’s rugged calm and Santorini’s dazzling light feel like two halves of Greece’s eternal story — one grounded in earth, the other floating on sea and sky. #travel

Visited Ephesus today—walked marble streets where Rome’s world still breathes. The Library of Celsus once held 12,000 scrolls, toilets funded the great theatre, and philosophers taught that harmony at home sustains peace. Wisdom, beauty, and balance—foundations of every empire.

Walked through the Agora in Athens today and thought back to when I was 23, copying every word of Plato by hand until I understood Socrates’ reasoning. Standing there, I could almost hear him speaking as Plato listened. The Agora isn’t just ruins; it’s where ideas first found their voice.

Stop pursuing fame. It's fleeting and ultimately unfulfilling. It's a gift to be able to attend a baseball game, blend in, and not be recognized. You're of the people. And all great reporters are of the people.

One of these guys turned 41 this week. The other guy is going to his first MLB baseball game with a middle-aged guy explaining runs, RBIs, hits, working the count, sacrifice flys and other parts of the sport. @hilarym99.bsky.social

So I have a few thoughts. First it’s time to change the culture insofar as how we treat young people with fresh ideas. What’s been driving decisions isn’t working. So that’s first. We need to be more boundary pushing and less politically correct. And we need to take ideas from Little Lake.

I’ve been workshopping a play I wrote with a group called London Playwrights, which is obviously based in England. A member of the organization who is providing edits and feedback to my story that is based there suggested reading this book. Look forward to reading it. #theatre

Next time someone interviews or talks to Kurt Russell, ask him how he squares away being against gun control and then celebrating and cherishing his most famous role as Wyatt Earp. What was the OK Corral about but gun control? The whole fucking point of Tombstone was taking away guns.

Abortion access for veterans is under threat again. The VA wants to reinstate a decades-old ban, ignoring state bans and service-related risks. @votevets.org
