It's still very cold and under a 6" blanket of snow in upper Weardale. Yesterday we spotted a very hungry hare out the back. 'Operation cabbage' was launched and I reckon it's been a success.

Here is my Monty. She's a monty because was meant to be a boy when we got her. She had been abandoned in a skip god love her as a very young kitten. She only has three legs too but that does not hold her back. She's a feisty little lady.

Lovely photo. I get what you mean about the ice. Being a woman of a certain age I've started to worry about breaking something. I invested in a pair of these last year and complete game changer. They have a bit on the sole that converts to spikes. They're brilliant.

Thank you very much for sharing.
And how lovely to see some really really decent people up there. I love this place.

Oh wow. Small world. Yep, usually knee deep in it here. Not a flake in sight even on the tops.

Well that didn't last long. This account looks to have gone already.
How I love skies that are blue.
Happy days.

I can't place it. I'm presuming he is crossing the wear by a ford. I'll ask my hubby.
Here is the ford at St John's Chapel. Beast from the East time which was amazing.
