Agree. Great escapist book, and the first of four in the semi-connected Wayfarers series. I liked all, but especially this and the last in the series, The Galaxy, and the Ground Within.

Wonder if his public push, and apparent lack of locker room support, had torn the trading ground from under them. He seems quite high maintenance, not sure which team would welcome that, despite the obvious talent.
