The AI:

I can't get over this part. It's like Adult Swim's infomercial parody "Live Forever As You Are Now" but taken completely seriously.

Alt text for those who need it:

What's really fun about this that you can ask the same question in two separate browser sessions, and the AI may possibly invent two completely unrelated meanings for the same fake expression.

Hm, that dog looks strangely familiar...

Adding alt text for anyone else who's struggling with reading the definition:

(Sorry for deleting and reposting this three times! I failed to indicate the strikethroughs the first time, and accidentally copied the body text of my post the second time.)

Adding alt text for those who need it (my own nearsighted self included):

Incidentally, for those who are curious to see the rest of what I'd written for that bit, here it is (with alt text to make it more readable).
February 25, 2025 at 1:40 AM
Oh, sorry, it's so small that I can't get my nearsighted eyes to focus! Let me zoom in so it's at a more reasonable size on my phone.

But now I can't read half of it without scrolling…

Progressive politicians of Bluesky:

Are you OK telling your constituents with visual disabilities that you care less than *Pete Hegseth* about whether your posts make any sense to them?

Guessing that's a "no"?

Then add alt text to your images. Like he does.
February 13, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Yet again, posted without alt text, so people with visual disabilities are left without the complete context. (Can your team *please* learn the basics of social media accessibility?)

Here's a version with alt text for those who need it.

Sure, everyone jokes about Superb Owls this time of year, but this is the only year when it's possible to joke about Superb Owl Lix.
February 8, 2025 at 3:28 PM
Sen. Sanders, can you please put in the effort to ensure that your posts here are accessible to people with visual disabilities?

For those who need alt text to read the images, here it is:
February 7, 2025 at 10:29 PM
The alt text of this image is a URL to a paywalled article, which is *absolutely* not equivalent access.

For those who need it, here's the same image with alt text that actually transcribes the names in it:

Adding alt text, because the full statement deserves to be made accessible to the whole disability community:
February 4, 2025 at 6:30 PM
Given the current administration's attacks on disabled people, it is especially important for politicians to make their statements accessible. Could you *please* start adding alt text so that blind people can access them, as I've done below?
January 31, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Could you please start including alt text when you're posting screenshots of other social media here? For blind constituents, this post literally says nothing.

Just so this doesn't look like an empty complaint, I'm reposting the image with alt text myself.

I'm not entirely sure how Amazon managed to do this, but they seem to have renamed several models of Anker earbuds so that they're now a pack of Gildan fleece hoodies (?!?!).

(Search for "Soundcore earbuds" on Amazon and it may show up for you as well…)
