Does O’Reilly sell a individual ebooks again? If I remember correctly, when the first edition came out the only way to access the ebook was through O’Reilly’s subscription plan.

I'm about 45 minutes into the video and I don't see anything damning in it. What exactly has you so mad about it?

I think I have around 500 games on EGS, purely from their free giveaways. I’ll probably get through 20 of them at best over the next couple of years.

"Never attribute to malice what can be attributed to incompetence."

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if this was just bad engineering or someone who vibe coded the app and had no idea that access controls need to exist.

I worked at Best Buy in the early 00s and Tony Hawk came in looking for SSX Tricky. I can’t remember if it was for PS2 or Xbox, I think it was PS2. Either way, I was able to find it for him.

I can’t imagine working on something technically impressive but not being able to list it on my resume due to the content on it/the person who owns it.

Anyone know why wasm doesn't provide DOM support?

From what I remember, when Dart was initially announced, Google was pushing to create a separate open VM spec for running code in the browser but the other browsers weren't buying into it.

Thank you for putting effort into CSR. I feel like a lot of the React community is so focused on server components that they're forgetting that there's a massive chunk of developers that work on internal apps or apps behind auth that work great as SPAs and truly don't need SSR.

I work on apps that are internal, so I have an advantage of knowing the minimum browser version IT has installed on every machine. If the feature I want to use is supported on the browsers IT supports, then I use it.
