I have seen people using Seestar scopes in Tokyo skies. Helps when the scope has built in light filters.

Check out the modern astrophotography scopes. Linked to your phone and smart enough to find deep space objects. Seestar S50 or Dwarf 3 are examples around 500 dollars.

Dallas has a way of doing that. Course MIn being three deep in good receivers helps as well.

Same here in Louisiana. Pretty skies but the coldest weather of the season. Today is supposed to be warmer and may have better skies, according to my weather apps.
