Well since XIV is actually getting a for-realsies Prishe glam, may as well give my old Prishe cosplay one last hurrah

Prishe has unique comments for each race! I haven't seen them all, I wonder if there's a compilation somewhere...

A lot more XIV content comes from XI than most people realize, lol

The Man Who Wasn't There (2001)
Beautifully shot and written, I really loved this. The story is dense but not confusing, and kept me on the edge of my seat right up to the end. I love how focused it is on complicated emotions, and how difficult it is to express or communicate them.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000)
For whatever reason, I was under the impression this was a serious drama, similar to The Shawshank Redemption. It was not that lmao. Based on the Odyssey, I wasn't super crazy about this one. Had some fun scenes and I liked the characters and aesthetic, though!

The Big Lebowski (1998)
Also seen this one, because who hasn't seen this? I don't have much to add that hasn't been said before, but man - this thing's borderline-meme status really undersells how wildly funny the bits are that don't get parroted all the time. Incredibly funny movie.

Fargo (1996)
The first of these I'd seen before, and the primary example of the Coens' theme of "idiots trying to do crime." Damn-near a perfect movie, highly recommend everyone watch this, it's so good.

The Hudsucker Proxy (1994)
Was surprised to find out this has fairly negative reviews, I liked it quite a lot! I thought it was cute and very funny. Apparently Sam Raimi threw firecrackers at the Coens as they tried to write this, and it definitely has that energy in a good way.

Capitalism blows!!

Barton Fink (1991)
My favorite so far, I really loved this. Excellent setting, great characters, and a simple story that goes off the rails and gets weird. Feels like it has a lot to say about a lot of things, I can't wait to watch it again.

Miller's Crossing (1990)
Was a bit hard to follow at first, but once I got into it I liked it quite a lot. I loved all the intrigue and double-crossing, really kept me on my toes. The weirdly cartoony bits with the cops were great, the tone of this was weird but I'm into it.

Raising Arizona (1987)
A live-action Loony Toons cartoon, this fuckin' ruled. Best chase scene in cinematic history.

Blood simple (1984)
Surprisingly straightforward for a Coen bros movie, unsurprising since it was their first. Loved how slow and moody it was, and M. Emmet Walsh's character was fantastic.

I play obscure PS1 games with friends pretty often, we have a backlog of like 700+ games chosen because none of us had heard of them. Back when that 5x5 grid thing was going around, I made one of the best / funniest / most interesting titles we'd found.
