Yeah, but they also increased bills by $5-$8 in September. Another $6-$8 in February. Gouging & nothing more.

This is troubling on a few levels. The union should have a right to strike & government should not interfere. That's collective bargaining.

The union has to also be concerned about the future of the corporation. This entity is in trouble & I can sense a desire to privatize from government.

I would have used it had I been sick but for me, I was very fortunate throughout my career to not to have needed my sick days. My spouse however, had to use theirs because of an injury sustained in a fall. Had I had my time back, I would have used it all before retiring. lol

Before I retired, I got 2 PL days & finally 4 weeks vacation after 35 years service. Retired with 520 sick days on the books (zero compensation for never taking a sick day in 35 years).

I retired 4 years ago from a long career in IT. I love technology as well. It's just something that keeps my mind active. Until I want to throw it against the wall like yourself. lol

Wasn't it fascinating times??? lol

I was self-taught when I entered my computer programming courses at university. Popular Science magazine was what I used to learn. My first major application went into production when I was 14. It was a large POS system for a building supply company.
