Diabetes #stigma is real and harmful, which is fuelled by misunderstanding and judgments that negatively impact the lives of those living with diabetes as well as the care they receive from providers and caregivers. Stigma around the illness persists among Canadians.

We thank all participants from the various regulatory colleges for engaging in important discussions on tailoring messaging and language to address the needs of their diverse audiences.
