Primaries are so much more important than ppl realize. Had more leftists/progressives voted in the 2016 and 2020 primaries, we could have been under a second Bernie term rn, Trump wouldn’t have taken office, and hundreds of thousands more would be alive right now.

Please remember to vote in the 2028 democratic primaries and choose the most progressive candidate that has a chance of winning both the primary and the general.

What we need in 2028 if we want to win is a young, genuine, anti-money in politics, anti-war, peaceful dove, Bernie-type candidate... I think someone like Andy Beshear and/or AOC.

We need someone who, unlike the past three democrat presidential candidates, has a spine and is not afraid of pushing the party to the left. We need someone who is genuine and won’t run to the moderate, corporate, establishment part of the party.

What can we do for the 2028 presidential election? Progressive, Bernie-type policies are very popular. I know of many Trump supporters who would have voted for Bernie over Trump.

So, Kamala came across as just another corporate politician, with policies that didn’t resonate with the democrat voting base. Trump got roughly the same number of voters he did in 2020, but Kamala didn’t turn out several millions of democrat voters bc of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Establishment/corporate democrats kept saying the economy was doing great, ignoring reality, and making them come across as out of touch. Corporate democrats moderated/shifted right on some issues.

The Biden/Harris administration didn’t campaign on these things, especially labor protections. Despite this positive legislation and administrative action, people still felt the negative effects of the covid recovery in their wallets.

Incumbents around the world have been losing elections bc of covid’s economic impact. The Biden/Harris administration passed some good legislation, like the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure bill, and they were surprisingly good on unions and labor protections.

He dropped out right before the DNC, which gave little time to do anything but to prop up VP Kamala Harris. What he should’ve done was announce that he was not seeking reelection, and then in the primaries we could have had the chance to choose a genuine progressive.

Against his 2020 promise of being a one-term president, Joe Biden sought reelection and won the 2024 primaries, and until his disastrous debate performance, he and those around him ignored the very real possibility of losing.
