Central NJ. Pro: mask, public health, voting/reproductive/civil rights, logic & democracy. The GOP is lying to you. Take a civics class.
Just fyi, a TIA is caused by a temporary blockage & is not the same as an actual minor stroke. It's called transient because the symptoms go away within a few hours.

It isn't since the ACA, but could easily go back to that, along with coverage caps, no required screening benefits, kids kicked off at 18, etc. if the GOP is successful at getting rid of ACA. They've been trying to do that for years.

No President has the legal authority to deploy the National Guard domestically except under very specific circumstances which weren't met here. The court apparently ignoring that established law is what's at issue, not who is or isn't the President.

I'm not disagreeing that things seem off, but having results reported on election night or the next morning has been the norm in most elections since the 1950s. The delay in 2020 was a huge outlier historically due to the vast number of mail-in votes so comparing to that isn't relevant.

I always saw this as a way of providing context to where in time you are being that age. That phrasing to me means "I'm only 28 a little bit longer" or "I'm almost 29" vs "I just turned 28".

Restoration time completely depends on why the power was lost.
Repairing storm damaged equipment in a huge area like this would take far longer anywhere than identifying & fixing a centralized issue like what occurred in Spain. These aren't comparable situations.

She only said "was" about being a foreign terrorist & involved in human trafficking, but "is" for being an M13 gang member. That means she's technically not referring to HIM in the past tense, just 2 of his alleged (completely made-up) crimes.

Wow. You just absolutely can't accept you were wrong about the travel time I guess. That's a little crazy.
April 3, 2025 at 3:38 AM
My comment was only correcting the 5 to 7 days you presented as a fact about the travel time at 12 hrs/day. I stated the actual time, nothing else. Cost, time off work, feasibility, what is/isn't advised, & local vs DC protests are completely different topics not related to my comment.

Why do you keep arguing with a fact about driving time? It has nothing to do with difficulty or w/me, but as I said in another comment, yes I have twice driven 12+ hrs/day for 2+ days. It's not easy, but not impossible. And again, I doubt most people would be traveling there alone anyway.

My comment wasn't about cost or any person's ability to drive 12 hrs. I was just correcting the number of days you stated at 12 hrs/day. And yes, I've driven 12/day for 2+ days twice. Also, most people wouldn't be going alone so driving can be shared. Again, not saying it's easy.

Is this comment to me? If so, I don't understand. I was pointing out that even driving completely cross country it wouldn't take 5-7 days to get there. That fact has nothing to do with me or whether the actual time it does take is feasible for most people.
