The littles are iridescent. I took this months ago. A recent deep dive into Weaving Iridescence reminded me of these vibrant chicks. Now I wish I could have gotten a much closer look to see what colors conspired to make them so glowy. (Mom & Dad's hisses kept me at a very safe distance away.)

I took the first photo & when I was cropping it, the fuzzy things became clearer. Went out and scrapped some off and took another photo. The plant has bugs. The tree in the same pot doesn't have them & is growing like crazy. I don't want to kill critters that are causing no harm.

This is on a dark brown background. For scale, the holes in the mesh are 1/16" (2mm). Those are some tiny little bugs! A flowering redbud tree/shrub in a 5-gallon grow bag. At its base is a small clover-like plant, some moss and redwood chips. The bag sits on a self-watering sauce and on either side are other potted plants. in the background is a dark brown railing, a car parked in a parking lot, part of a carport with a car parked in it, and further back, another car parked on the street and some evergreen trees.

I spent quite a while on the balcony shredding leaves for leaf mould until the light started fading. I did get this snap after I cleaned up my mess.

I am not sure if this counts, but here is a nice, ginormous tree that when it is windy pummels the roof with pine cones, shoots tiny weeny pine seed thingies and needles, and oh my goodness you do not want to get that sap on any part of you.
