I think the moves make sense after looking at the report and seeing the broader trend around it. They along with Sony and dozens of other companies got free government money to look into dead end tech in 2020. They're getting free government money to work with a college research project now.

I think their writing suffered from feeling like they're obligated to be included but unsure how to actually make use of them and barring a few scenes don't really feel like themselves as a result. I'd rather they go out a while and brought back into frame when there's some confidence backing them.

Think it's also that she is the lowest risk of having any kind of ability or job changes pulled on them. OO had most of the ARR scions, and then expacs after ARR happened. They had Rogue Thancred, Yda centered around Touch of Death, and Conjurer Y'shtola right up to the end.

In my experience trying to get new players to ever ask for help with anything going back to 2.0, assuming that the game worked like that was a reason a lot of them never did. New players will solo DPS queue for HOURS before they speak up to their experienced friends and I dont know how you fix that

This one goes back to the Gold Saucer being added, with snowboarding being one of 7's main minigames it came up and had a longer explanation then. Yoshida grew up in a snow resort town and is way too into snowboarding to allow them to cut details and I think that's been in a loop in his head since.

I think Hard modes was a bit of a misnomer there since that makes it sound like the same dungeon with numbers bumped up when they were more like sequel dungeons. Same geographic area but different enemies, different layout, and continuing the story of that area or characters off of the original.
