She lost a lot of dem support in Houston because she backed the HISD bond last year, put forth by the superintendent F.Mike Miles - who is actively destroying HISD. A lot of people were very disappointed by her decision to support it.

As an HISD parent, I can confirm that Mike Miles has completely destroyed our schools and it’s been devastating.

I would usually support a public school bond, but not under Mike Miles.

HISD parent here. Houston biz leaders were pro-bond in the recent election and are pro-Mike Miles, the current superintendent who is destroying HISD. bond failed, but they still stand behind Miles, whom everyone assumes is pushing for privatization. Parents/certified teachers fleeing HISD.
