Half term baking with the small one is seriously testing my will-power…! Super proud of her making these with minimal help though… and even then she was furious with me for insisting on helping her make sugar syrup… 😊🤣

Today the “tasteful” tree went up… tomorrow is “real tree” day… the pastry is resting ready for the first batch of homemade mince pies of the season and I am downing wine in anticipation of the chaos of baubles, tinsel and multi-coloured lights that will be tomorrow…🤣
