Yeah, I mean at the end of the day money talks and prem teams would not let their star players leave for internationals if play was continuing

It would also massively favour smaller teams who are not sending many players to internationals, which could be good for a casual fan but in terms of the money making side would see a complete seismic shift

Yeah it’s just completely pointless, the only way it would make sense is if we adopted a rugby style international break where league play continues and you get to see emerging players get their opportunity in the prem, but that would obviously mean that no significant player would turn up for intl.

I think it must be a mix of both, I think that the international break is so frequent nowadays it takes away the magic of cult heroes emerging and special moments internationally happening.

The downfall of Twitter needs to be studied because they had it all on a plate and somehow have managed to just completely destroy the platform just to make a few extra billion a year, there’s been no consideration of the user in any of these conversations and that will come to be their downfall.
