I thought it might've been an XC at first but then saw the year and went "No, that's just before XC to Brighton"
It especially threw me because Peaks had a tendency to find their way to Brighton for a brief couple of years. Sure, that's not a Peak, but close enough to further throw me off!

Finished the weekend in Bristol to meet up with a friend of mine. After staying into Monday, I then dashed over the London where I unsuccessfully attempted to find a new B23 DLR train (they're both having maintenance downtime)
Ahh well, all part of the fun! Back to work tomorrow though

Friday and Saturday were very busy with the kick off for half term for many places across the East Midlands. Nonetheless, it all ran smoothly for me, so no complaints here!

You shouldn't have to pay for a quieter section, but alas, sometimes you just have to (that last TPE to Edinburgh from Newcastle on a Saturday night has got to be one of the most worthwhile upgrades I've done)

Last week's ICE to Brussels from Koln was spent in the Quiet Carriage and that was enforced to just the right balance. You could talk in hushed tones but anything too loud and any phone calls were self enforced by others. It was brilliant. I wished the UK was like that 🥲
