Oh. My. Word. This is shocking news. I find the program, as probably many do, entertaining, interesting, engaging and I actually learn stuff from it. I hope he will also take a stand in support and you can resurrect this in some other form elsewhere. Shame on you BBC.

If you went into a shop and they said “sorry it’s a 40 minute wait to checkout “ there’d be an uproar. Call centres who have a message “we are experiencing a high number of calls” just don’t have enough “till operators” . I don’t see why companies think this is acceptable customer service.

Yep both. Allowing for the age I was surprised how good the first one was . Only saw it quite recently. 80's one is on my faves list too. Can watch it over and over.

I had to "have words" with a parent who'd completely blocked the pavement with their car. It meant young children had to walk in the road. Its lazy, selfish and inconsiderate to others. Tells you a lot about those who think its ok for them to do it as people. Makes my blood boil.

Completely agree. I just watched this. Seeing scientists basically saying “why can’t we all just work together through this without any other agenda for the greater good of humanity “ is quite some message. Also learnt a lot. Great series.

Read somewhere ,can’t remember where, author or exact quote, but it was connected mindfulness. Basically encouraging you to look up more. We don’t do it enough, especially it cities. The amount of architecture we miss is immense. Completely changed my walk to office in London from the train station

We had similar thoughts at work when we heard the name of this product when it was launched....

We used to have this (and also "trap" emails to test us. Was always fun marking ridiculous internal request emails as phishing. One guy got really upset that I had the temerity to mark his as dodgy (loads of others did too).

In my job we had "FAP Alert". Forecast Approval. Any other meaning ever occurred to us tbh.

It used to be you only saw Christmas post Halloween. As others have said, from at least September Christmas is out and about too. Such a shame.
