From what I understand the main concession they made was not working with activists around divestment from *Checks notes* arms manufacturers, which I think academic institutions shouldn't be invested in GENERALLY regardless of conflicts...

Also why did they need to pay the gov? What exactly is the reason for paying 75 million? It's just to tell NU that they can be punished and don't get out of line or it'll get worse

None of this is about "doing immigration the right way" and it never has been. You make America (let alone academia) better for being here and it's shameful that this is even a concern

Also : some places won't let you get a TDAP booster if it's not 10 years since your last. I was recently denied because i tried to remember the exact year of my last booster and told them it was 9 years ago.
For legal reasons I am not recommending saying it has been 10 years if youre unsure

(We believe it's primarily as organic arsenic which is weirdly way less toxic than inorganic arsenic so I think the official position is it's not of major concern)

My completely serious weird fun fact I've learned at my current job is that ppl are concerned about mercury in seafood, but there tends to be substantial amounts of arsenic as well. Anyway enjoy this tuna cassarole!
