In a broader sense I think social media has conditioned some people to go into defensive mode anytime anything they hold dear or follow religiously is mentioned, even in a slightly negative light.

Yeah he's missing that point. Yes the early 00's was a hellscape of malware, and pop-ups, but banner ads were still placed reasonably and didn't cover up other text, or video ads weren't blare at you out of fucking nowhere.

I have a feeling that deep down some of the Dem leadership are completely fine with the oligarchy. They've been hunky dory with the numerous other changes those on the right committed during the last two republican administrations.

Considering the original was entirely done on a synthesizer it probably wasn't that difficult.

Multiple reasons, maybe he had someone else in mind and this was the first, Or if he threw it in the city, it would have been likely seen and the gun recovered/traced back to him, whereas disposing it somewhere less populated would have been easier so he had to hold on to it in the interim.
