Leave someone out? Make sure everyone involved in the program knows as much as possible as *early* as possible about practices, games, the week, the schedule, and the events

Tips to be a great assistant coach:
1. Work. Find work. There’s always something to do and head coaches don’t want to have to ask and shouldn’t have to do everything themselves.
2. Patience, young one. Your day will come. I know you want everything right now (I did too). Just wait and learn.

It’s my favorite time of year: checking in on the job board. “Coach I have 0 years experience, but I’m young and hungry. I’m currently getting certified in PE. If head coach-in-waiting isn’t a possibility, then I would settle for OC. Here are my Madden and NCAA stats from the past year…”
