IMO one of the most useful tools to assess sprint technique is the SMAS from Chris Bramah. No fancy tools needed except a camera. The more we find these positions, the worse the score gets. Poor performance = excessive anterior pelvic tilt, lack of elasticity/coordination, etc.

Hamstring strains are multi-factorial & require a systematic solution. Strength measures are part of it, but so are:

☑️Post chain ROM & asymmetry
☑️Exposure to high intensity speed (>90%) & high-speed running volumes
☑️Max horiz force output
☑️Lumbopelvic control
☑️Other factors!

Players are complex adaptive systems. Performance factors are dynamic & fluid, continuously reshaping over time. As age sets in & physical outputs start to plateau, high levels of in-game performance may continue through enhanced technical, tactical & psychological preparation.

Common traits of fast people from
JB Morin:
☑️ High levels of posterior chain strength & activation prior to ground contact
☑️ Efficient scissor coordination b/w thighs
☑️ No “power leaks” thru foot/ankle
☑️ Continued acceleration at very high speeds

Most athletic movements result from ⬆️ force efforts in ⬇️ time. SAID principle important to drive adaptations. Max strength already >4x slower than 1st step of acceleration & >10x slower than max V. To develop 🔝power/speed, develop specific rates of force application
