Your MP is an outlier - average age of an MP is around 50. The point I'm trying to make is that theres no causative link between gender imbalance and the existence of social media, so reducing the right to protest can only be a knee jerk reflecting the authoritarian tendencies of this government.

The current generation of MPs will have begun their progression towards becoming MPs back in the early noughties when social media barely existed-but the disproportion between male and female candidates was apparent even then. Sorry, but you're just engaged in a kneejerk that enables authoritarians

I suspect the District Judge decided he couldn't be bothered, and is daring the CPS to take this up in the higher courts via an attorney generals reference.

Mainly I think women don't become MPs because in a patriarchal society men enjoy privileges women can't match.
