So, put simply: solitude feeds you; isolation drains you.

This is a distinction I've needed a reminder of when I'm showing up more authentically and finding many less places that are safe or welcoming to receive me.

But I don't have to pretend anymore and that's awesome.

Isolation, on the other hand, is not chosen. It’s being cut off from others in a way that feels heavy or lonely. It can creep up when someone feels disconnected even if they’re technically surrounded by people, or when life pushes them into a place where reaching out feels hard.

Fuck I hope you find a ride. I'll keep an eye out for others who might be in a similar spot. If you're leaving on Sunday, I might have extra space if you need a separate ride back
