I find it genuinely pathetic when a trans person's best idea for how to improve things for trans people is to get all trans people on board with their idea of what a well-behaved trans person would be.
Other people may be more likely to blame trans people as a whole for the sins of some particular trans person, but that doesn't make it more realistic to think we can achieve equality by stopping every trans person from being a jerk.
