For me, it really brought back the experience of working in an ER as an EMT in college. Ours wasn't nearly that busy (nor a trauma center), but I saw so many of those same situations first hand. I miss all of those people and the thrill (and occasional crushing sorrow) of that life.
I had heard it was amazing, but it is really better than I was expecting. Like ER grew up, got political.
Among other things: best depictions of miscarriage and medical fat-prejudice I've ever seen.
